Padres Opener
This picture was taken Padres Opening Day. Carlos Hernandez ended up hitting a home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to tie the score and the Pads won in extra innings. It's been that kind of year! As this is written, the team is 89-49. If they win half their games, they'll win 100 for the year! We are looking forward to the playoffs.
Bass Lake
As we did two years ago, we took a weeks' vacation at Bass Lake in the Sierras. Had a great time.What did we do? Well, we fished, we boated, we hiked in Yosemite, and we relaxed. The Gaines' Cabin was great again, way more space than we needed. Wish there were some pictures of the cabin to share.

Beach
Summer wouldn't be summer without time at the beach. Again, our favorite hangout was Coronado, north of the hotel.
The kids stayed home with us most of the weekdays and we got out a few times. These pictures were taken on a day that Dave, Tracy, and Matthew were able to join us.
The little fish in the picture to the right is a baby leopard shark (12", about 6 oz.), one of two Dave and Robbie hauled in that afternoon.

Big Bear
Finally, we made it back to Big Bear. In one short weekend, we managed to water ski, hike, ride motorbikes, kayak and eat and drink like kings. Shari and Jerry were great hosts and of course it is always good to catch up with Tyler.
