  Wedding Vows

Pastor Russ: If you, then, Dan and Karen, have freely and deliberately chosen each other as partners in this holy estate, and know of no just cause why you should not be so united, in token thereof you will please join your right hands.

Pastor Russ to Dan: Dan, in taking the woman you hold by the right hand to be your wife, before God and family and friends present, you must promise to love her, to honor and cherish her in that relationship, and forsaking all others be to her a true and faithful husband so long as you both shall live? Do you so promise?

Dan: I do.

Pastor Russ to Karen: Karen, in taking the man you hold by the right hand to be your husband, before God and family and friends present, you must promise to love him, to honor, cherish, and obey him in that relationship, and forsaking all others be to him a true and faithful wife so long as you both shall live? Do you so promise?

Karen: I do.

Pastor Russ: Then you are each given to the other for richer or poorer, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, till death shall part you.

Ring Vows (Repeat after Pastor Russ)

Dan: Karen, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and fidelity and as a token of the covenant made between us this day in the presence of God and before our families and friends. With my body I honor you, all that I am I give to you, all that I have I share with you.

As your husband, I promise to cherish and protect you.

I will celebrate your accomplishments, and support and encourage you in your growth.

I will treat you with respect and appreciation.

I will be considerate of your wishes and your needs.

As your loving husband, I promise to build a life with you, blessed in faith by God.

Karen: Dan, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and fidelity and as a token of the covenant made between us this day in the presence of God and before our families and friends. With my body I honor you, all that I am I give to you, all that I have I share with you.

As your wife, I promise to cherish and nurture you and our family.

I will celebrate your accomplishments, and support and encourage you in your growth.

I will treat you with respect and deference.

As your loving wife, I promise to build a life with you, Danielle and Robbie, blessed in faith by God.

Prayer: Pastor Russ

(Russ: Please ask married couples to join hands before prayer. As part of this prayer, ask for a recommitment (a commitment in Dan's and Karen's case) of the marriage to the Lord, leaning and trusting in Him (reference or read Psalms 37: 4 - 5).) Benediction: Pastor Russ

Recessional: Mike Hogan
